Almost random image drop.
I have a busy day ahead of me with two different doctors appointments and the much anticipated yearly sale at the armory near my house where they sell toys by the pound (literally by the pound ,you fill up a bucket from a giant pile and they weigh it!). So with my lack of time I decided to just toss out a few almost random pics I have been sitting on for a while .
I know this was a very lazy post and I promise Ill have something better tomorrow and over the weekend.

Congo
The Congo toy line was made by Kenner in 1995 based on the movie.
These thing sat in the clearance bins at KB Toys for years and years and might still be there today if not for the store going out of business. Most people will say the movie was horrible but Im a fan of Stan Winston's work and enjoyed it.
A mysterious benefactor
"A mysterious benefactor has gifted you the money to start a completely new collection. The only stipulation is that you can only buy two items , The centerpiece of the new collection and one small filler item .What will your new collection be and what two items will you buy for it?"
My new collection would be Fraggle Rock
The piece de resistance of the new collection would be this:
The original Muppet puppet of Marjory the Trash Heap. I have a thing for trash / bog monsters and Im fairly certain that the fascination started with Marjory. The origanal puppet would look simply amazing displayed in a large glass case and would for sure be the best item in any Fraggle collection on the planet
My one filler item would be the first issue of the Fraggle Rock comic book
This item is easy to find and the perfect type of thing to ad a little extra bulk to a collection without braking the bank.

70's Flintstone mugs
If you were a child in the mid 70's chances are pretty good that you had at least one of these plastic cartoon head mugs. They made these things for many different cartoons in the early to mid 70's but my favorites are these:
I have been on a Flintstones nostalgia trip lately and seeing these mugs makes me want to sit and drink Koolaid from them while watching classic episodes of the cartoon. Strange that they dont seem to have made a Wilma tho..

Ninja Attack!
This week’s assignment from the League over at Cool and Collected : Ninja Attack! Who would you take in an 80′s character fantasy draft? Your team’s goal will be to defeat a shady conglomerate of Russian businessmen and their team of hired ninjas. It’s go time. Easy enough.
1: Ash from Evil Dead
Why? Because every team needs the member thats there just for goofy humor.
2: Link from the Legend of Zelda
Why? He's small , nimble ,fast and equipped to take on all challengers.
3: The Kurgan from Highlander
Why? He's a nearly unstoppable maniac with a twisted taste for killing.
4: Predator
Why? Crafty, cunning ,strong and deadly. If you went to fight ninjas wouldn't you want him on your team?
5: Chuck Norris from wherever he wants to be from.
Why? Because he's Chuck Norris thats why.
checkout how the rest of the leage combats those blasted ninjas

War Planets
The War Planets toy line was made by Trendmasters in 1996 and lasted for a few years. The concept of the toys was a lot like the old Mighty Max sets but on a slightly larger scale .
