I'm not big on Christmas decorations,trees ,traditional christmas chotchkies or any of that stuff that people keep in the attic till this time of the year. That being said I felt a momentary twitch in my festivity neurons today ( I thought it was the onset of a seizure at first but it turns out it was just this thing they call "Christmas spirit" ) So without betraying my own decorating sensibilities I gave in to those whimsical festive feelings and tossed some led Christmas lights onto my giant Fortune Tellers advertising hand! Nobody's calling me the grinch this year.

The Grossery Gang: Time Wars

I had a little trouble finding these to start with but now it seems they have all been sent to discount stores (angering those who paid 80$ to 120$ on ebay for some of the hard to find figures). Being a huge cheapskate I figured if I was meant to have them they would turn up at Goodwill or I would luck out and find them in store, and finally I did find them in store.
 

I'm still looking for some of the older figures that I never say in store and again Im sure they will turn up at Goodwill someday .

We don't talk anymore.

Im not going to candy coat this. If I comment on your blog regularly and you never reciprocate I will no longer be commenting on or following your blog.We all put work into these posts and I feel like it's unfair for people to just take a free ride approach and never comment and if I'm a commenter on your blog why are so much holier than thou that you can't reciprocate? I really am directing this at 2 bloggers specifically but it goes for our failing community as a whole. There are so few of us left that we should be this tight knit group but thats not the case. It appears these days that everybody is out for themselves and damn the neighbors .There are 1000's of places for me to see pictures of anything any of you have to post. I look at these blogs and comment because we used to be a community and I enjoyed the interaction between all of us but that has gone the way of AOL .I know this all sounds harsh but its simply the way it is.

Hear you can compare what my customized versions look like in comparison to one of the figures in its origenal state ( Lock lips on the far right).I really like these modern interpretations on the classics and I also like the over sized head look they give the figures.

Madballs head popping action figures Skull face!

this is my 2nd custom  restoration using the new Kidrobot 3 inch vinyl blind box  madballs to replace the classic soft heads that originally came on these bodies .When you get these guy with the origenal heads they cost an arm and a leg but the headless bodies can be bought for a song! then adding a slightly modified retro style kidrobot Madball as a head and poof you have the Marvel legends of Madball figures!

These guys cost $3.88 each and in my opinion are worth every penny!

Gangrenous Acromancer

Im not altogether sure what this guys name is. He is a very very rare convention exclusive version of another rare exclusive so it's hard to track down his given name, I think combining the names of 2 other similar figures  to make the name  Gangrenous Acromancer sounds pretty cool.

The skeleton army is adapting to the new 5.5 world I have built ! Expect to see more of the exploits of the skeletons in the near future.

Tiny slime pit.

This is the Imaginext Ooze pit.This set is clearly a homage the vintage MOTU slime pit and I have to say I love it .

Life lessons I learned taking this picture : 1 ,the slime of today is not the same beast as the slime of my youth. Its super water and uncontrollable. When you pour out this stuff you you are literally pouring it out and its going to run everywhere. 2, The slime of today burns when it gets in your eyes. 3, If playing with the slime of today expect to get it in your eyes ( also mouth ,nose , ears and in the eyes again.) 3: as watery as the slime of today is you would think that cleaning it off of your hands , the table , the floor , the toys and ect would be easy...yeah you can think that but its the wrong answer . 5, If a toy comes with slime its probably just best you not play with the slime.

Hercules Unbound and the mystery of the golden sword

This is Remcos Hercules Unbound .Many people have commented over the years that this looks nothing like Hercules and they are right ...sort of . This figure is based on the mid 1970's Hercules Unbound comic book and not the legendary hero of the past. This version of  Hercules was set in a post apocalyptic future and only lasted 1 year in publication .The comics are roughly the same price now as they were back then and will set you back about a buck each and in my opinion are really worth reading. This sword he is hold is not to him , its not even a Remco weapon and I have zero clue where its from originally but it came with him so I left it in his hand.

next figure on my list to get is Arak but Im being picky and waiting fro a complete version to show up in my 20$ or less price range so it might take a while.

Update! I finally fixed the gold cord that is supposed to be on this figure. Its a small thing but it makes a difference 

Five point five alive!

This is my collection of non MOTU 5.5 figures so far. I had kept the Warrior Bestss on a shelf of their own in the middle of my MOTU collection but I decided they should live with the other "knockoffs"

This seems like a good place to reiterate that if any of you out there have any of these old off brand MOTU clones and would be willing to sell or trade them please feel free to message me.

quick shelf overhaul update

For some reason Walmart has decided that they will no long be selling white bookcases so my process of making all my shelves white hit a roadblock. I decided that I really wanted my new shelf of motu type figures to be on the nice white area so I covered this one section of the bookcase with white self adhesive shelf paper and white poster boards. This method is not ideal but it works for the time being.

I cant get enough of these guys! As I have said probably 2000 times already I am super excited to get my hands on the Thundercats. On a side note I now have 2 loose Muckmans from the most recent tmnt toy line, and I would be more than willing to trade the extra for a couple of the vintage MOTU figures I need (Ninjor would be great).
